Pre and Post Treatment advice
​
  • Before and after your treatment avoid eating a big meal, but please ensure you have eaten  a light meal and are hydrated to ensure you don't feel dizzy or faint during treatment.
  • Avoid drinking any stimulants including alcohol and caffeine for at least an hour before and after your treatment.
  • Drink plenty of water to flush your system of all toxins that are released during the treatment.
  • Avoid strenuous activity for a few hours as this will put stress on your systems and organs which are detoxing.
  • If driving, keep a window open as you may still feet relaxed and drowsy.
  • Get plenty of rest (Physically, Mentally and Emotionally) try and have a good 8 or 9 hours sleep after treatment

You may experience a healing crisis after treatment, this may include a temporary worsening of your condition, feeling tired or weepy, cold or flu like symptoms, strong emotions, increased urination. These are a sign that the healing process is working by eliminating the body of toxins, impurities and imbalances in the body.
There is a risk of bruising with Acupuncture.  Facial Cupping and Gua Sha treatments will leave a reddening of the skin.  Body Cupping will leave red marking on the skin and Gua Sha produces petachiae (Sha as it breaks the surface capillaries of the skin)
